The Shop

Cultured Swine opened August 2020 in a 45-square-foot space on Johnson Street that is officially North America's smallest storefront. In April 2023 the shop moved two blocks over to The Central Building on View Street: slightly more room with the same cozy feel. We are located on the 4th floor in unit 409. The goal has always been the same: a safe, welcoming, judgement-free space for anyone who walks in. Haircuts aren't gendered here and neither are the prices — you pay for the cut, not for who you are. We recommend booking ahead using our online booking service to ensure you get in the with barber and time of your choosing.

The Barbers

Taylor

Owner and operator of Cultured Swine Barbershop. Taylor Trained at the Aveda Institute of Victoria in hairdressing, but soon switched to barbering, with advanced training at the Olde School Barber Academy in the Netherlands. Taylor has 11 years behind the chair, and loves cutting mullets and longer, flowy styles.

Ronan

Ronan is the newest member at Cultured Swine, but he is very familiar with the trade. He has 8 years of experience, and recently moved to Victoria from Australia, though he is originally from Cork, Ireland.

Joel

Joel did his barbering apprenticeship in Australia and New Zealand before landing in Victoria and starting at Cultured Swine in 2021. He has nearly a decade of experience cutting hair, and when he isn't behind the chair you can find him at the skate park, or in the ocean on a surfboard.
